What is different about the Jett boot over other brands?

Most boots on the market offer good protection. However, the design of the typical leather/plastic boot is bulky, heavy and tall in the shifter area. Since the Jett boots are injection molded, we are able to control the thickness of material in all areas of the boot without compromising comfort, fit and protection. We are also able to keep the design slim and low profile. The boot is 20% lighter than most other high end brands on the market.  The lighter weight makes a big difference on knee fatigue.

Very very great.

Why did you choose to make an injection molded boot?

Making traditional style boots out of leather is restricting. The boot is only as good as the materials used to build it. Since there are so many variable in quality and types of leather, it is difficult to be consistent in production. Because the plastic that is sewn to leather isn't pre-molded, it always wants to go back to its original flat state. Therefore, the plastic is constantly working against the leather. What ends up happening, is the boot will be stiff in the plastic areas and soft in the areas where the leather has worn compromising the overall  protection of the boot. With our production process, we can adjust the compound of the material and control the consistency. We can produce a consistently light weight boot without compromising protection, comfort or fit.

Are the buckles and straps easy to adjust?

Most boot buckles work great when the boots are brand new. However, after they see dirt and wear, they begin to fail. The JETT buckles are designed to work flawlessly every time. We have designed them to be unaffected by dirt, mud,  climate or wear. The straps are designed to be adjusted with your gloves on. You simply unbuckle the strap, push in and make the micro adjustment. When done, push down the lock and re-buckle it.

What is the break in time on the Jett boot?

There is very little break in time required. The interior padding on the Jett boot is made with a polyurethane mixture.  The padding in the ankle and heel cup is pre-molded. however, once your foot heats up, it will continue to mold around your foot for a custom fit. This process normally takes about 15-20 minutes.

How is the sizing of the Jett boot compared to other brands?

Jett boots are pretty true to size. However because of the interior padding, if anything they run slightly smaller than other brands.
